I may not be here tomorrow. This is true for us all. I had suspected that I should forgive others mistakes. There is no sense in ever holding grudges. Moreover, this type of attitude isn't as abundant as it should be. I think we all need to buy Casio watches and keep track of the time we have left. Not that anyone really knows for sure. I feel like I'm turning a new corner in my life. Not that I really expect anything to happen to me. But it just hit me that you can never tell, so it's best to take every day as a gift and to be the best person that you can be.

I've never been a fan of the "Live each day like it's your last," motto. And I'll tell you why. It's because if I did that, then there is no reason that I would ever go to work or do any of the things that all of us have to do. If I know that it's my last day, why would I want to spend it there? I would spend that day walkijng in the park with my wife, or paddling a canoe down a lake, or I would go and buy Casio watches (Yes, I know that last one is unusual.) So, if I lived like this, then I wouldn't be able to hold down a job and I would be out on the street. That is not a good place to be.

As a side note, I know that many people will be crinkling their eyebrows at the thought of taking a trip to buy Casio watches on your last day. But they do have sentimental value for me. It started when I was a child and my parents bought me my first watch. They took me around to browse through then buy Casio watches with them. I chose a square model that had a robot attached to it. You would push a button and the watch face would pop off and you could twist and turn it like a Transformer until it was a robot with arms, legs, and a head. That was the one I chose when we went to buy Casio watches. How could I not? That is the pinnacle of cool for a child. If I'm honest, I would have to admit that it's still pretty cool to me now. The thing also had a calculator in it. I had secret thoughts about clandestinely using it during math class to get one over on my teacher, but I never did. I was always a good kid. Never cheated.

But back to my original point - These are the things that i might be doing if I knew that I only had very limited time left. These are also things not conducive to responsible living. Therein lies the problem with "Living life to the fullest." It seems to me that the only thing that any of us can do is to find that delicate balance between the two and hope for the best. This has been a guiding force for my philosophy. Especially lately.

I have been trying to do it the best that I can. It's not easy though. Sometimes I get overwhelmed with work. What I have been getting decent at doing is just living as a good person. Being the best person I can be and treating other folks well is a nice step in the right direction, and it's easy too. So that's what I have been focusing on primarily. Although I do make it a point to buy Casio watches whenever I get the chance to. You have to afford yourself some pleasures.
